Preparation Tips for CBSE Board Exams 2026
- Preparation Tips for CBSE Board Exams 2026
- Preparing for the board exams sounds complicated? It is. No worries, let me help you out with a few tips recommended by my teachers that helped me a lot to prepare my best for the board exams without having to skip any important topics or necessary details, and with a fresh mind.
- Do you also find it messy to understand all the chapters along with all the topics at the same time? Where to start from? What’s important and what’s not? How to actually even begin?
- Here are some tips for you to prepare strategically:
- Teachers often recommend dividing the syllabus into half so that we can at least reduce the stress of overburden in the beginning. Search for the marking scheme of each subject and take notes on the same. This helps in preparing the main topics with higher marking weightage first and leave the rest for last.
- The best tip to prepare for the board exams is to go through the previous year question papers and practice some sample papers (pro tip: search google). This helps us as students to feel self assured before appearing for the examinations.
- Try creating a disciplined routine by assigning a particular day and time for each subject for revision purposes. This helps in maintaining track of your studies and sharpens your memory.
- Having proper break sessions is important, as this helps us with maintaining a balance between personal and academic life accordingly and promotes a healthy mental state and disciplined structure.
- Don’t shy away from asking for guidance as this helps even better than books sometimes. Asking a teacher, mentor or literally anybody helps with practical knowledge on specific topics other than bookish knowledge.
Role of Parents and Teachers in Exam Preparation
Class 10th and 12th Board exams are no cakewalk as they are the cornerstone of any student’s academic life. And here both Parents and teachers play indispensable roles in creating a nurturing and productive environment:
Role of Parents
- Emotional Support: Board exams can be stressful. Encourage your child and do not put expectations on their shoulders that they might find difficult to meet.
- Set Boundaries: Students should study in a distraction-free environment. So, make sure you set boundaries on their screen time or use less social media while studying.
- Monitor Progress: Do not fail to sometimes, check with your child’s study times table, and give positive critiques.
Role of Teachers
- Personalized Attention: One of the best things that a teacher can do is give personalized attention to students. This will help students feel confident and at ease while preparing for the exam.
- Resource Provision: Material shared in class helps in achieving a better understanding of the concepts and in solving papers and mock tests.
- Motivation and Guidance: Motivate students to remain positive and make them believe in their true potential.
