How to Download the CBSE 2025-2026 Class 11 Syllabus?
CBSE has uploaded the complete class 11 syllabus on its official website. To download the complete syllabus from the website, follow the steps provided below:
- Visit the official CBSE website – https://www.cbse.gov.in/
- You will see multiple tabs appear on the screen. Click on the tab called “Academic Website.”
- Navigate to the section “curriculum” on the top bar.
- Choose the option – curriculum of 2025-2026”.
- A page will appear with the curriculum of the academic year 2025-2026.
- Click on the senior secondary curriculum 2025-2026 section.
- There will be a tab called “initial pages”. Students are advised to read that before downloading the syllabus for all subjects. It is a guide provided by CBSE officially.

CBSE 2026 Class 11 Exam Pattern
CBSE has made certain changes in the class 11 exam pattern and conducting style. The class 11 exam is held once a year and covers the entire syllabus. The exam pattern for both class 11 and class 12 has been changed slightly now. The focus has shifted to competency-based questions to prevent rote memorisation. Below are the changes that CBSE has made and the latest exam pattern for class 11:
- 50% Competency-Focused Questions – MCQs, Case-based questions, and Source-based integrated questions.
- 20% Select Response type questions – Standard Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
- 30% Constructed Response – Short Answer and Long Answer questions.
