POSTER MAKING COMPETITION at Matrix High School

With the objective of happiness of color and friendliness between students, a Poster Making Competition is conducted. Students created their idea on posters by drawing various arts and pictures.

This is conducted to bring out the creative expression of the students and also to gauge their awareness quotient. Poster Making Competition was organized on the theme ‘ROAD SAFETY ‘ for grade 6- 9 at Matrix High School on 12 of November.

The students displayed their artistic skills through an array of posters on the given topic. The total time allotted for the activity was 1hour 30 minutes. The decision regarding the winner was made on the basis of the following criteria:

1. Relevance to the theme

2. Accuracy and the clarity of the message

3. Neatness

4. Overall presentation

This activity is conducted in order to make students active and make them socially responsible. Road Safety is one of the major issues people must understand and must have awareness regarding this. People must follow the safety rules and should care about their own life and their relatives.

Students participated actively and suggested many ideas through their creativity. The ideas include walking on zebra crossing, follow the red lights, learn and follow road signals, don’t drive fast, save petrol, don’t drink and drive, and much more. Children have given creative ideas and people must understand it and understand why to follow such rules.

Result was declared after the poster making competition was over. The following students bagged the first, second and third position in this competition:

1st Position- Tanuj Sheoran (Grade VI)

2nd Position- Himanshi Sharma and Madhu Dudi (Grade 9 R A)

3rd Position- Riya Takhar (Grade IX A CBSE).
