CBSE update: 10th class mathematics exam will be conducted in two levels from 2020

Central Board of Secondary Education or CBSE keeps modifying the pattern of an exam to reduce the stress level of students. As per the report from India Today, CBSE again introducing the changes in the exam pattern of math by dividing it into two levels.

As per the CBSE instructions, the class 10 board exam puts lots of load on the students as everyone wants to get top in mathematics. Lakhs of students attempts this exam every year and difference in number comes just by a single number or category. The new implementation by CBSE will start in year 2020, so that exam would be easy for the students.

Mathematics Class 10 (CBSE Board Exams)

CBSE is introducing this nomenclature which is divided into two levels as:

  1. Mathematics-Standard: This level will be related to the existing level exam
  2. Mathematics-Basic: This level is somewhat easy than existing one

The existing phase of exam is same in curriculum, level and remain continue.

National Curriculum Framework

The circular team has analyzed that yearly exam of mathematics produces stress on students. Thereby, the circular has introduced these two levels of the exam and not only this, this implementation of two levels of the examination will cater to the two categories of students. This will let them test their knowledge as per their preparation. It will reduce the stress level of the students.

From the observation of the board results, the important aspect of resolving the issue of the most difficult exam has been undertaken. Results have been analyzed by the team and this conclusion has been made of the division of mathematics exam into two levels. This will come into effect by 2020 CBSE board exams which conducted in the month of March and onward years.

No change in pattern and syllabus of subjects

CBSE also stated that there will be no change in other subjects. All the syllabus, exam pattern and internal assessment will remain the same. There will be no effect on classroom teaching methodologies.

For the two-level examination of mathematics, there will be no change in syllabus and internal assessment pattern. This will help the students to get the opportunity of studying the whole topics across the full year. This will help students to analyze their aptitude and abilities on the basis of the two levels of exams.

Introducing a new course of AI (Artificial Intelligence): CBSE

CBSE board is now planning to introduce a new subject of Artificial Intelligence to the curriculum of class 8, 9 and 10. This course will be skills subject for the students and as an elective subject. A recent meeting of the board’s governing body has concluded that this subject is in need of today’s requirement. This subject will help the student in knowing about what is happening in current technology.
